Social Media Content Creator

Social media is a critical tool to reach our community, and having a strong online presence creates dynamic opportunities for public participation. Interns will generate compelling content for social media to effectively represent the campaign to the public. Interns will have the opportunity to work with a creative team of volunteers and hone their skills through this impactful campaign role. 

Start Date: As soon as practicable

End Date: November 8, 2022

Requirements

  • 5 hrs/week average 
  • Maintain weekly meeting schedule with supervisor 
  • Familiarity with all major social media platforms 
  • Ability to respond quickly for timely content needs 
  • Preferred: strong personal presence on multiple social platforms

Responsibilities

  • Work with campaign leadership to create a social media outreach and visibility plan for the duration of the campaign 
  • Closely engage with campaign activities to generate timely content 
  • Research social media usage by segments of the New Brunswick community, to understand favored platforms and activity patterns of key constituencies 
  • Create connections with members of the New Brunswick community on all platforms utilized by community members
