Local media is key to informing the public about issues in the community, and Charlie’s plans to address them. Interns will develop a media strategy and communicate directly with reporters to garner attention for the campaign. Interns will learn about the local news ecosystem, develop media organizing skills, and gain real-world experience under the supervision of an expert in the local media realm.

End Date: November 8, 2022
Requirements:
- 5 hrs/week average
- Maintain weekly meeting schedule with supervisor
- In-person work in New Brunswick
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Work with campaign leadership to identify top opportunities to engage media in the campaign’s activities
- Write press statements on behalf of the campaign
- Plan and host press events with the candidate
- Direct outreach to media contacts about campaign accomplishments and events
