Understanding the landscape of New Brunswick’s civic, educational, cultural, and faith-based institutions is key to bringing our message of change to every part of the community. Interns will form connections with these organizations and their members, listen to their priorities and concerns, and create opportunities for them to meaningfully engage with the campaign.
Start Date: As soon as practicable
End Date: November 8, 2022
Requirements:
- 5 hrs/week average
- Maintain weekly meeting schedule with supervisor
- In-person work in New Brunswick
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Preferred: personal vehicle for transportation
- Preferred: long-term residency in New Brunswick and familiarity with local community institutions and organizations
- Preferred: bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English
Responsibilities:
- Build a comprehensive list of community institutions to connect with through the campaign
- Develop a strategic plan for outreach to community institutions
- Work with campaign leadership to prioritize outreach to key constituencies represented by various community institutions
- Direct outreach and relationship building with community leaders
